Technical Assitance and Owner's Engineer in the implementation of the investment involving the construction of a new gas-fired heating plant for the Michelin tyre factory in Olsztyn.

The aim of the project is to adapt to the new corporate guidelines and new environmental requirements set out in the latest BAT conclusions, which after a transitional period will enter into force on 17 August 2021. After a multi-variant analysis, it was decided to replace the existing coal-fired boilers with new gas units meeting the latest environmental requirements. As a result of the tender, the General Contractor of the investment was selected, the scope of which includes the design, supply, installation and start up of a 42MWt gas boiler producing steam for technological needs of Michelin, located in a newly-built building in which a second boiler will also be built.

The scope of work

  • Conducting a multi-optional analysis of the possibility of replacing coal boilers with new sources meeting the latest environmental requirements and technological needs of the plant
  • Preparation of the Base Project for a selected variant of the construction of a new gas-fired boiler house
  • Preparation of the Construction Project aimed at obtaining a building permit
  • Preparation of complete tender documentation, support during the tender procedure and selection of the General Contractor in the EPC
