Owner's Engineer in ZW Nowa

The aim of the project was to adapt the boilers to the emission requirements specified in Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 on industrial emissions, so that the Installations meet the emission levels (concentrations) measured on the E2 emitter respectively:

• SO2 ≤ 180 mg/mu3 (in dry exhaust gas at standard conditions with O2 content in exhaust gas 6% for coal combustion, 3% for gas combustion and average for co-incineration 4%)
• NOx ≤ 190 mg/mu3 (understood as the sum of nitrogen oxides in dry exhaust gas at standard conditions converted to NO2 at O2 content in exhaust gas at 6% for coal combustion, 3% for gas combustion and average for co-incineration 4%)

The role of the Contract Engineer's team was:

• to support the Client during the selection procedure of the General Contractor of Investment
• to prepare the organizational preparation of the Investment in the scope of the Client's responsibilities, including conducting coordination meetings with the General Contractor and other meetings related to the Investment
• to control and supervise the construction of installations on behalf of the Client
• appointing a group of industry Inspectors of Investor's Supervision and exercising supervision with increased diligence over the execution of the construction by the General Contractor in accordance with the terms of the decision on the building permit and the requirements of the Construction Law Act and in accordance with the provisions of the Polish law and technical standards,
• control and verification of technical documentation (e.g. executive projects) and documents such as notes, protocols, reports, etc.
