Antea Polska S.A. signed an agreement with the Police Seaport Authority for the development of design documentation for the investment "Construction of a heavy quay in Police Seaport".

The scope of the order, in addition to the execution of the design documentation, also includes obtaining all necessary administrative decisions and a building permit for the aforementioned task.

Investment description

The expansion of the Sea Terminal in the Police Seaport involves the construction of a quay for seagoing vessels and the development of the facilities.

The designed heavy (universal) quay will be located south of the existing Sea Terminal, being an extension of the existing quay. 

The investment is aimed at increasing its handling potential and storage areas.

Scope of the task

The scope of the task includes the design, execution of all studies necessary for the implementation of the task and obtaining all necessary administrative decisions, along with a building permit, for the following items: 

  • construction of a heavy quay being an extension of the existing Police Seaport quay, with a technical depth of -12.5 m,
  • construction of a storage yard at the back of the quay,
  • construction of a traffic route allowing access and exit from the storage yard to road no. 5 from the southern side,
  • execution of necessary infrastructure, 
  • construction of a parking lot for trucks,
  • execution of dredging works to achieve the target depth of -12.5 m.

Scope of the project documentation

The scope of the project documentation includes:

  • Preparation of a map for design purposes.
  • Preparation of a complete geological-engineering documentation, together with administrative decisions approving the design of geological works and geological-engineering documentation.
  • Examination of bottom sediments from dredging works for their contamination. 
  • Inventory of greenery, together with preparation of an application for and obtaining a decision authorizing the removal of trees and shrubs.
  • Preparation and submission of an application to issue and obtain a decision on environmental conditions for the implementation of the project, including the preparation of an Information Sheet of the project and/or a report on the impact of the project on the environment.   
  • Preparing an application for and obtaining a permit for the erection and use of artificial islands, structures and devices in the maritime areas of the Republic of Poland.
  • Preparation of water law reports, including preparation, application for issuance and obtaining of a water law permit.
  • Preparation and application for issuing and obtaining a construction permit. 
  • Obtaining all necessary opinions, agreements, permits, decisions and verifications of design solutions to the extent provided by the law. 
  • Development of a building permit design.
  • Development of the detailed design.
  • Preparation of a bill of quantities.
  • Preparation of investor cost estimates and a summary cost statement for the entire project.
  • Preparation of detailed technical specifications for execution and acceptance of works (STWiORB).
  • Preparation of a schedule for the implementation of construction works.

BIM methodology

The project documentation will be developed based on BIM (Building Information Modeling/management) technology in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN-ISO 19650. 

Police Seaport

Police Port, which is part of the Azoty Group, is a seaport and river port on the Oder River, the fifth in Poland in terms of transshipment volume. It is part of the Oder and Central European Transport Corridor, as well as the Swinoujscie-Szczecin fairway, connecting the ports of Szczecin, Police and Swinoujscie. It consists of four bulk cargo handling terminals, such as phosphate, apatite, ilmenite ore, potassium salt, fertilizer, ammonia and sulfuric acid.
