Antea Polska S.A. has signed a contract to provide technical advisory and design services for the investment project titled:
“Integrated network for innovative transformation and decarbonisation of district heating” (UNITED HEAT); Stage II – Construction of a solar heating plant.

Project objective and location

The project will be implemented in Zgorzelec, on the premises of the existing heating plant. The scope includes the construction of a fully independent solar district heating facility with an installed capacity of approximately 5 MW, equipped with a daily thermal storage tank of around 3,000 m³. The investment aims to increase the share of renewable energy sources in district heating, reduce CO₂ emissions, and improve energy efficiency.

The project is co-financed under the Connecting Europe Facility – CEF Energy (Cross-border Renewable Energy Projects) programme, announced by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

Scope of Work – Antea Polska

Under the contract, Antea Polska will deliver comprehensive technical advisory and design services, including:

  • Support in selecting the optimal technology,
  • Preparation of all required design documentation,
  • Handling administrative procedures on behalf of the Client,
  • Providing author’s supervision during project execution.

The work is divided into three phases:
Phase I – Design and Engineering

  • Development of the Basic Design and identification of the optimal solar collector technology,
  • Preparation of the Project Information Card and obtaining the environmental decision,
  • Execution of the Building Design (site development plan, architectural and construction design) and obtaining the Building Permit,
  • Preparation of tender documentation (Terms of Reference and Functional-Utility Programme) for selecting the General Contractor,
  • Participation in the preparation and execution of the procurement process.

Phase II – Demolition Documentation

  • Preparation of documentation and obtaining permits for the demolition of structures conflicting with the planned investment.

Phase III – Author’s Supervision

  • Providing author’s supervision over design implementation and construction works in compliance with Polish Building Law.
