Antea Polska S.A. together with its partners - "Pectore - Eco" Sp. z o.o. and DHI Polska Sp. z o.o. - signed a contract with the Ministry of Infrastructure for: Development of the Programme for counteracting water deficit together with a forecast of environmental impact of it. The project is financed under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020.
The scope of the contract includes:
- Development of the programme
- Strategic environmental impact assessment for the programme
- Public consultations of the programme and the forecast of the environmental impact of it
- Development of the final version of the programmeand the final version of the forecast of environmental impact of it
- Support for the Contracting Authority in management of the the programme
- Communication and promotion of the programme
Poland, due to its geographical location and unfavourable hydrological conditions resulting from it, has small water resources. We are in penultimate place in Europe and belong to the group of the countries threatened by water deficit. In recent years this problem has been growing.
In order to cope with the effects of climate change and to enhance and maintain water resources for population, economy and environment, it is necessary to solve the problem of water retention.
The Programme for counteracting water deficit will be the first strategic document comprehensively covering possible activities in the field of water retention development. The programme is an important element of counteracting the effects of drought.
