Antea Polska S.A. will develop the design documentation for the task "Expansion of the ship access infrastructure in Basin IV - Phase 1", together with obtaining the final building permit decision, under a contract signed with Port of Gdynia Authority S.A.

Scope of services

The scope of the contract includes: 

  • Preparation of all pre-design studies, including: geotechnical studies, a map for design purposes, a water law report and obtaining the required decisions and permits 
  • Development of a multi-discipline building permit design (land development design, architectural-construction design and technical design, along with all necessary studies and the required arrangements and decisions, as well as approvals for documentation, schedules and technologies for the conduct of works) 
  • Obtaining a building permit 
  • Development of a multi-discipline detailed design along with all the necessary agreements, STWiOR (Technical specification for the construction and commissioning of works), investor's cost estimates, bills of quantities for works divided into stages and branches

Phase 1 of the investment

The task "Expansion of access infrastructure for ships in Basin IV - Phase 1" is carried out as part of the project entitled Preliminary work for the investment "Expansion of access infrastructure in the Port of Gdynia", co-financed by the European Union from the CEF fund, and is aimed, among other things, at preparing the port to handle ro-ro ships over 180 m in length. 

The investment is divided into 3 Phases, and the first Phase of the project includes infrastructure works such as: 

  • reconstruction of the Polish Quay at a length of approx. 500 m
  • construction of an access ramp and a ro-ro ramp for sea ferry 
  • reconstruction of the necessary network installations at the quay
  • construction of a transformer station and a cable network to supply ships with energy from land
  • construction of a sewage collection system for ships with connection to the port transmission network
  • reconstruction of the necessary handling and manoeuvring areas
  • construction of a storage hall with a social area
  • organisation of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in Terminal 2

Port of Gdynia

The Port of Gdynia is a universal port and one of the leading ports in the southern Baltic Sea. It specialises in the handling of general cargo, including mainly unitised, containerised and ro-ro cargo. 

The Port of Gdynia is a node of the TEN-T core network and an entry point of the Corridor: Baltic - Adriatic , an extension of which is the Gdynia - Karlskrona Motorway of the Sea connecting Gdynia with Sweden.
